I am actually neither grand, nor old, but I do believe that parties play an essential role in our political system, and the Republicans are the party that most closely aligns with my personal beliefs, values, and positions. I was born, raised and educated on the South Side of Chicago, but moved to the far western suburbs several years ago. For those interested, the photo is a painting done for me by my "Cloth Coat Republican" wife.
